Port Lay

Il y a une long histoire des images de Port Lay. A water colour and a drawing led to the first lino.

le premier lino, gedruckt von 3 Platten:

A set of drawings made on an early festival, where on a Sunday morning les bretons were displaying there traditional costumes led to the second lino with 3 plates. In this one a set of nuages observed at Loqueltas were introduced symbolizing les gens approaching the site with their expectations.

Besides there were a number of water colours, quelques vendu sans des images left.

Besides two pastels

The second lino follows a sketch:

avec le couleurs de 2008

A third lino again shows a favorite view from above:

Now with new couleurs de 2008

When the Festival du Film Insulaire changed from Rue de Gripp to Port Lay, see a sketch of the site with le Cinema des Familles (former Le Korrigan), the parking space arranged with tents, and the impressive Villa, housing once the restaurant Esmeralda, and now the activities of the festival crew, linos were made to illustrate the new traditional site. Note l' unique Manège des Dragons installé by Régis in 2002.

Port Lay, the small port, la jetée was set up 1839 à 1859. Avant Groix était inaccessible par mauvais temps pour les pecheurs. En 1832, une jetée située au nord protège cette crique, et une jetée sud fermer le port. L’ouragan de 1836 démantèle la jetée nord, et disloque la jetée sud. Port Lay once was the home of a large conserverie, Jégo-Beziers, set up in 1864. Later for many years home of Jeunesse Marin, a school where les jeunes picked up their first sailing and diving skills, the buildings had been abandonée, quelle tristesse. In the last years usages avec des atéliers et de Festival began. In addition in 1895 une école de peche has been founded ici, sur décision ministérielle.

The 2005 poster reflects the pacific joy of life meeting the tradition bretonne.

extracted as a single square:

The 2006 event highlighting Madagascar showed in a delightful poster a Madegasse in his Auslegerkanu mit Segel und Filmrollen. The respective lino now illustrates his arrival at Port Lay, although actually Port Lay had been impressingly decorated with artistic wood constructs and sails attached to the old Kran.

The 2007 theme is Cuba, and the Festival poster shows exciting and for Europeans exocitic designs, but indeed is missing any specific affiliation with Groix. The name Groix indeed could be exchanged to any location. To recall the place of the Festival and its history a lino showing the historical buildings has been produced. The night version also displays the unique open air projection across les jetées on the major building of this tiny harbour.
