These Frauen am Fluss are one of a series of 10 woodcuts.

A Groix the river has been transferred to a crick à côté de Trou de l’Enfer, une plage naturistes, et les fantômes emerge from the rocks or may be ahnt in les nuages (Teufel avec birds).

Le lino has been printed on shining through chinese Papier, et coloré from derrière

Quelhuit

Much of Quelhuit se trouve zwischen dem lavoir und le chapelle Saint-Léonard, avec Lutina’s tryptique. Pour voir von oben, je pense à Joseph Merrick, the elephant man, qui reconstruit le Dom of London, just being able to vue it from his basement fenêtre. Walking around, this view has been erzeugt, although not all sights have been visited. Une view speciale has been from above on un mât electricité, ich war lange oben, since a polizist was passing unten, without seeing me.
When the reconstruction was done je trouve le vue de ciel de Pat Sacaze dans l’île des lumières, his wonderful book produced by Boutique de la mer. St. Leonhard bénite le 13 avril 1841, remplace l'ancienne chapelle Saint-Laurent (lit http://www.infobretagne.com/groix.htm). Vraiment une place spéciale through the ages. Old Fort Grognon, squeezed in top à gauche, remains abandonée, while la Kapelle est bien restorez.

Locmaria

Although frequently asked, images of Locmaria have been rare:
it started back in 1981:

At that time we have been using the lavoir pour unsere Wäsche

A later view led to the first lino:

A second site c'est la jetée, here 2 aquarelles/ink

and the lino:

Port Melite

Port Melite, version 2

Port Melite, version 1

Port Mélite, according to one routier the most beautiful plage de Groix, mais ce n’est pas my Meinung. But it is a remarkable place, with the empty house of capitaine Pejol, next to the house of Tudy Tonerre, who got to know les allemands during l’occupation, les murmuring trees, close to the fields of mures, fields of dark violet, le dolmen (époque néolithique), la petite plage, avec des histoires joyful et triste (quand l'helicoptere decole au dessus de Port-Mélite après avoir effectue un sauvetage, see utube). Maintenant the entrance to les grands sables, or better what s’apelle LGS at the moment.
This picture is not a true view of Port Mélite Beach. It is mixing the views of two positions to describe the area: one from behind the trees showing the left side of the beach, and l’autre close to les maisons showing the right side. As la plage might have been Picassos place à Groix, la femme descending resembles his Badende, but due to the conventions of the place, madame n’est pas nue.

Le nouveau Biche

Biche nouveau has been based on a photograph from David Cornes, to be found at the biche website http://www.biche.asso.fr/photos.html. The lettering of the name BICHE has been adapted from a photo from Ange "Biche" Stéphant.
The new linogravure has been assembled with the numerau bateau de l’old lino and proposed as a logo to l’association.

Roter Sand

Where once has been the famous Grands Sables de Groix, il y a une petite plage remaining, above les pins, le pin a droite is by now ausgetrocknet and soon will drop down to the sea. The lino has been named "feu les Grands Sables" by William.

close to Les Sables Rouges here is red sand, roter Sand, sable rouge

this building has been sitting on the sands stuffed with beaching equipment

the bunker now up in the air was accessible from the beach

sable rouge, one of the few red beaches of the world, but not pure iron oxide red as Kaihalulu on Maui, but sable à grenats, mio-pliocene sands of the armorican massif, red, black and white. 11 Les Phares de Port Tudy

back is la pair des ancres,

found aussi à Port Melite, maison du capitaine Pejol

Les deux ancres croisées had been introduced 1879 by l'amiral Jaureguiberry pour l'uniforme des marins, lit à http://www.netmarine.net/tradi/symbolique/ancrebras/index.htm.

Les boites de Tristan Calloch

Trouver à l'écomusée de Groix, die Thunfischbüchse von Tristan Calloch.

A second type of thuna can, a large one, has been found by Franck à la décharge, and fit into an aquarelle in 1995. Last year we rediscovered le tableau in the shop of Tristan Calloch at Port Tudy. See here Tristan with the picture in April:

10 - la vague de Hokusai à Pen Men

shows the Hokusai-adaptation, a less known view of the many Fudjijama views, l'envers. For a wave to travel around the world it takes an estimated 1000 years. The back is the top of le Phare de Pen Men from a lino carved 10 years ago:

9 - Le Manège

The card is a version of the lino with various small alterations. The back shows the inventory of le manège in 2007. Faites vos choix. Pour les enfants to send a postcard just crossing their ride(s).
